How we communicate with others has a profound effect on our lives. Therefore the inability to communicate can lead to isolation, affect academic progress and lead to low self-esteem, confidence and an adverse effect on health and well-being.

Target Education Scotland is a social enterprise delivering online English lessons to adults and young people across Scotland. Our profits are reinvested into the business to allow us to offer English lessons to refugees, and others who are new to the country, who find themselves unable to access this support.

Communication is all about connection. We want to invite volunteers to meet our learners online and offer them opportunities to practice conversational English. This means we can share our cultures and experiences, helping those new to the country and the language, to feel welcome in whatever Scottish community they find themselves.
